Default Execution Day.

Execution day will be any morning at dawn that suits Indonesia, if the judicial appeals of our youth fail. [they seem to not be going well, as the judges told them that the Indonesian Constitution doesn't apply to them].

They give no prior warning....they just lead or drag the prisoners from their cells to the death site, probably a deserted runway...that's what they used when they executed the 3 Christians recently.

They'll probably murder them all on the same morning...or they could inflict maximium suffering on the others by executing them one at a time on different days.

Anyway, they'll execute them one at a time...the radio explained exactly what will happen according to Indonesian law.

Each will have a target apron placed over his heart and a hood over his head.
2 live bullets only will be used by the whole firinq squad [so no one knows which squad member killed them].
If the shots aren't accurate, and the victim doesn't die immediately...they must be left to writhe around for 5 minutes, then "finished off with a pistol" [radio host said].

Rumor has it that if the squad or the boss executioner hates the victim/s, they only wound them on purpose, for maximum pain.

THIS is what confronts OUR youth.

After they're dead, are we allowed to bring their bodies home in coffins?...or will they have to be buried in paupers graves or cremated?
If the families can't pay, will our govt pay for the return of the coffins?
When the coffins return home will there be an area set aside at the airport for the mothers and families to collapse in agony and grief over the coffins, weeping and longing to touch their "babies" for the last time?

I shudder at the thought... it's absolutely horrifying.

These young ones are handling their fate so well...

My thoughts go to them and their families...

It's just barbaric. No matter which country engages in it.
It's amazing any modern 'democratic' country still does it.
The US, who's leader purportedly speaks with god,
allows lethal injection.
Murder by state yet Thou shall not kill.
While governer of Texas, christian George set a new murder-by-state record.

Indonesia is now considering the lethal injection.
I also posted these links in the news thread.

Indonesia considers lethal injections over firing squads
http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems...3/s1872948.htm

And more about lethal injections from FPSS:
Lethal injections are not more humane. The first needle merely causes total paralysis so that the witnesses aren't traumatised by constant thrashing.

Lethal injection is just as bad, if not worse.
Given a choice of the two I'd choose the firing squad.

Indonesia seems to think they can just murder our youth and nothing will happen to it/them...that there will be no religious war ...that there will be no hate directed at Indonesia by people in Oz and around the world.

Like it or not...love Indonesia or not....there WILL be penalties paid by Indonesia.
The average Indonesian will probably be the one who'll pay the price...but that's just the way it will be.

I write to Matthew Norman, and really people who are all about killing these Australians, just don't realise what they are saying. I know Matthew is young, but until I actaully read his letters, i never realised just how young he is. He is a child, very young and juvinile, and the things he writes about and the way he writes it, is something my 14 year old nephew would say and do and these bastards who say they deserve what they get, are condemning children to death.

all i know is, if the Bali 6 die, i believe we as australians need to completely boycott Bali, not travel there, stop being friends with that country, like i believe the same for singapore, i will NEVER go back to Singapore as long as i live, and let the Indonesian economy feel the brunt of it by losing their biggest intake of tourists that they need to survive, AUSTRALIA!

mini mission,

i understand where you are coming from and respect your opinion but i am against any member of the bali 9 facing the death penalty regardless of what they have done.

i do believe that all of them have recieved sentences that are beyond extreme and perhaps - according to so called evidence - chan and sukumaran do deserve a harsher sentence... but not death!

no way, nuh uh...

i have not read the book myself... but would like to sometime in the future.

have you thought that perhaps chan and sukumaran themselves where under similar threats to themselves and their families by a higher "power"... in the world of drugs all of the bali 9 were nothing more than pawns - the drug lords are free and enjoying their well supported lifestyles while these young people are facing death...

there is no justice for any of the bali 9 regardless of what part they played in the drug smuggling game... they are incarcerated and 6 of them are facing death... they are away from their families, friends and home... and likewise those people suffer too while they watch their children/family/friends face an impossible situation.

i care about the fate of all of the bali 9.

the parents of one of the bali 9 - scott rush - are tirelessly fighting everyday for the rights of not only their son but EVERY australian facing the death penalty, in fact they are fighting against capital punishment altogether.

hello possum...thanks for your reply....i have no sympathy for chan and sukumaran...given half a chance those guys would have flooded your country with drugs for their own gain, they did not even have the bottle to carry those drugs through the customs, they got the others to do it under threat to their families.Infact those guys arent even aussies they are from,i think britain and china...This is how they they treat their host country,by trying to flood it with drugs, and if they had not been caught they would have carried on peddling their evil trade. I feel sorry for the others, the ones who have been nothing more than mules, i think australia should do everything in their power to get them home on some kind of prisoner exchange treaty.

It seems to me that Indonesia forgets about the world bending over backwards for them when they were hit by the tsunami, many countries pulled together and helped them through a devastating time. Now that they are doing better, they are going to just kill kids that made stupid mistakes, barbarically..... I will NEVER DONATE TO AND INDONESIAN CHARITY again! They are UNFORGIVING and disrespectful of life and innocence and therefore should never be helped by the world again, they let innocent kids be violently killed i could give a damn about ever helping them again.
