Default Outrageous Sentence

To kill our citizens is the biggest insult Indonesia can make against us. We have helped their country in immeasurable ways. Even if we had never done anything these young people do NOT deserve to die.

I urge all Australians to protest to our politicians by phone, email and letter!

If Australia financially helps out a country's poor, that gives us the right to break their laws?

I love your logic.

... and your logic seems to be "kill someone for making a mistake" and "happy to see an innocent person rot in a balinese jail".

Forgetting to take the clothes off the line when it's going to rain, that's a mistake. Leaving your headlights on, that's a mistake. Taping over your wedding video, that's a mistake.

But you don't exactly "accidently" strap 10 kg of heroin to yourself and try to go through an airport.

It's NOT a "mistake". It's a CRIME. And a serious one that could have ruined the lives of and even KILLED dozens of people. Thankfully it only ruined the lives of the criminals who perpetrated it.

... and you know what mate... for all your pious comments, there's a drug deal going on down the road - quick mate grab ya gun

it's always gunna be there and there's always gunna be a traffiker, a dealer, a user so instead of spewing ya filth how about you get out there and do something positive, like go volunteer for a drug users help group, a youth shelter, even as a local prison visitor... then tell me that killing the Bali9 is the solution

Well, actually, that's not true darkfalz. It hasn't only ruined the lives of the "criminals" who perpetrated it.... It's ruined the lives of their families and friends as well.

I don't know any of them personally, but it saddens me that 6/9 of them are facing the death penalty for carrying out the dirty work of a slimy government or some selfish, power-hungry corporate slugs. (Nguyen Tuong Van ----> Singapore ring any bells?) The sort of slimy government or corporate slugs who have power because people like you think with your fear and NOT your brain.

Get a grip darkfalz. Nothing but nothing justifies the taking of human life. You can act all righteous and point your finger, but one of these days, it could be you. Such is the fickle nature of arbitrary laws and penalties.

Yeah! I agree! Let's let all criminals off because they have FAMILIES! Empty the prisons worldwide!

How about we start with letting go the Bali bombers (the ones who didn't blow themselves up anyway)? I'm sure they have families too!

HOORAY FOR CRIMS AND THEIR CRIM FAMILIES!

(Admit it, you are just pissed because their capture meant your dole cheque buys you less crack per week).

Dear Well Named

You obviously got out of bed on the wrong side before you spat your dummy here.

You have missed the point of this forum - some of us are here to support the Bali Nine who have been given life sentences, and TO PROTEST AGAINST THE DEATH SENTENCE GIVEN TO ANYONE, REGARDLESS OF THE CRIME- [and yes I did mean to shout!] and that includes six of the Bali Nine.

No one has suggested that the Balin Nine not be punished, or that we are against imprisonment - but how many times do you want the punishment repeated, and how will executing them help - it hasn’t anywhere else?

As for your last crack - no pun intended - maybe you're speaking from experience.
